Open for applications for grants to participate at Tanzmesse 2022

Tanzmesse is the largest mass for contemporary dance in Europe and a great platform for networking and promoting choreography.  Tanzmesse is held every other year in Dusseldorf, Germany.  The next Tanzmesse takes place from 31 August to 4 September.

A large number of international visitors from all over the world attend Tanzmesse and a great opportunity to present choreography to international promoters and festival organisers while also getting to know other dancers and choreographers.

Performing Arts Centre Iceland grants five choreographers or producers of choreography a grant of ISK 90,000 to participate in the festival.  Applicants themselves are responsible for registering to participate on the Tanzmesse website and also booking flights and hotels as well on their own. Tickets for Tanzmesse cost €160.5 and are valid for all Tanzmesse events, lectures and performances.

Those who receive a grant will be paid as soon as a registration fee at Tanzmesse has been paid and confirmation sent by email to the Performing Arts Centre.

Performing Arts Centre Iceland shares a promotional booth with Performing Arts Hub Norway, so it will be possible to promote projects to festival guests.  Iceland will also host a Nordic party on 2 September along with Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

The application deadline is July 4.
