Pitch session on RDF and Lókal

Reykjavík Dance Festival (RDF), Lókal international performing arts festival and Performing Arts Centre Iceland request applications to participate in the presentation of performing arts groups and projects (pitch session) at the Reykjavík Dance Festival and Lókal Performing Arts Festival which takes place from 16 to 20 November.

The presentation will be held on November 17th at 13:00 at Tjarnarbar in Tjarnarbíó in conjunction with Reykjavík Dance Festival and Lókal.  It gives performing artists the opportunity to introduce themselves and their work to foreign managers of exhibition venues and festivals.  The aim is to give these foreign visitors an overview of the performing artists working in Iceland and to arouse interest in their work.

Foreign guests of the festival include Dansens Hus Oslo, Take Me Somewhere Festival, Santarcangelo Festival, Festspillene I Nord Norge, DansiT, Rosendal Theatre, Dance Base Scotland, Fierce Festival, Zodiak, Lavanderia a Vapore, Theater Rotterdam, Black Box teater Oslo, Eskus - Performance Arts Centre Finland and Théâtre de Poche & Festival BONUS.

The directors of Reykjavík Dance Festival, Lókal and Performing Arts Centre will review all applications and select groups or artists to participate.  The Performing Arts Centre manages registration and organization.

Applicants are given 7 minutes to present themselves and their work.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 26 October.
