Allocation of travel grants from Performing Arts Centre Iceland

The advisory board of the Performing Arts Centre Iceland has completed the allocation of travel grants on 13 June 2022. Applications were received from 23 groups applying for travel grants for 86 individuals, totalling ISK 6,700,000. This time it was ISK 2,300,000. In selecting projects, the objectives were to attract interest, increase visibility and demand Icelandic performing arts outside Iceland. Those parties who did not receive a travel grant in this session and are planning to tour after October 1 are encouraged to reapply in September.

PACI travel grants in June 2022:

Ten fingers – 500,000, to tour with Life to Ricca ricca ricca*Festa International Theatre Festival in Okinawa, Japan in July 2022.

Shalala – 300,000, for a tour with The Juliet Duet to Leipzig, Germany, in September 2022.

The teenager in Reykjavík – 600,000, for a tour with Teenage songbook of Love and Sex at the International Art Festival 4+4 Days in Motion in Prague, Czech Republic in October 2022.

The Cultural Society of Seal – 450,000, for a tour with Fog to the Nordic House in Tórshavn and other venues in the Faroe Islands in September 2022.

Nonlinear – 225,000, for a tour with Plant Season to Mustarinda in Finland in August 2022.

Pétur Ármannsson – 225,000, a tour with Baby Rave at Festspillene in Nord-Norge in Harstad, Norway in June/July 2022.
